We’re excited to launch our brand-new 5th grade basketball team this year! This team is all about building a love for the game, learning the fundamentals, and having fun as a team.
Our focus will be on teaching the basics of basketball in a positive, supportive environment where players learn the value of sportsmanship, teamwork, and effort. No matter your experience level, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills, make new friends, and be part of something special.
Most of all, this is about planting the seeds for future Rambler athletes — helping young players dream big and work hard with the hope of one day representing Loyola Basketball.

6th Grade Basketball: All Skills, One Team
Our 6th grade basketball team welcomes players of all ability levels — whether you’ve been playing for years or are picking up a ball for the first time. The focus is simple: learn the game, grow your skills, and have fun as a team.
We believe that every player contributes something valuable, and our goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where kids can enjoy the game, build friendships, and develop a love for basketball that lasts.

Our 7th grade basketball team brings together players of all experience levels with a shared goal: to continue developing skills, play hard, and enjoy the game together.
While we’ll focus on refining fundamentals like ball handling, passing, shooting, and defense, this season is also about learning how to work as a team, support each other on and off the court, and compete with heart.
Whether you’re aiming to sharpen your skills or just love the game, this team offers a positive, inclusive space where every player has a role and every effort matters.

Team 8th Grade
8th Grade Basketball: Prepare for the Next Level
Our 8th grade basketball team is where players continue to grow their skills while beginning to prepare for Rambler basketball at the high school level.
This season, we’ll focus on mastering fundamentals, strengthening teamwork, and learning Loyola’s core offensive and defensive systems. Players will be introduced to the plays, concepts, and terminology used by our varsity program, giving them a head start for future success.
More than anything, this team is about playing with purpose, competing with heart, and enjoying the game alongside teammates who push each other to get better every day.
